Menu was on an iPad. They have a variety of drink options on their menu.

1st Course: Trio of Salads

We began with a selection of cold, small appetizers that proved to be both delicious and refreshing.

2nd Course: Sashimi Salad

Japanese Amberjack with seasonal vegetables along with Ponzu and cold-pressed Grape seed Oil.

3rd Course: Seafood Bites

Marinated Jelly Fish, Ocean Trout, Snow Crab, Scallops, Vegetables with Miso Grain, Octopus, Blue Shrimp, Kumamoto Oyster, Firefly Squid.

These seafoods can be very fishy but I did not taste that. Overall, it was good.

4th Course: Warm Dish

Traditional Steamed Egg dish wish Shrimp.

Overall, it was tasty but nothing special.

5th Course: Sashimi Selection

Japanese Sea bass, Grunt Fish, Silver Beltfish, and Sea Urchin.

6th Course: Nigiri Selection

We were then served a variety of nigiri sushi, with each piece presented individually. The majority of the nigiri featured a selection of delectable white fish.

7th Course: Green Tea and Dessert (Shinbay Parfait)

To complement our meal, green tea was graciously provided. As a delightful finale, we indulged in their signature dessert, the Shinbay Parfait. This delectable treat struck a perfect balance, with its flavors harmoniously blending together. It was not overly sweet, yet still managed to satisfy our taste buds with its delightful taste.

Review

Shinbay Japanese restaurant, with its emphasis on luxury and atmosphere, is undeniably an expensive dining establishment. However, after my visit, I must admit that I won’t be returning primarily due to the high price point. While the overall experience was pleasant, I personally lean towards red fish selections, and Shinbay predominantly offers white fish options. For those seeking a lavish dining experience, it may still be worth a visit, but I personally found it didn’t quite meet my expectations.
