It’s a perfect spot to visit right after you land or before you depart. We visited during our stay at the Hyatt Secrets The Vine All-Inclusive Resort, which is located in the Hotel Zone. It wasn’t far from there either!
- 🛍️ In the Outlet Mall: The cafe is situated in the Grand Outlet Riviera Maya mall. So, while you’re indulging in some retail therapy, make sure to drop by the Hello Kitty Cafe!
- 🐱 Cute Food That Tastes Amazing: Initially, we thought the food might be all about looks and not flavor. But we were pleasantly surprised! Every dish we tried was delicious, except for the Mocha Frappe, which didn’t quite hit the mark 😓.

Not Too Busy (Yet!): When we visited, it wasn’t very busy, but we expect it to get more popular soon. Many locals were unaware that the cafe had opened, and once we mentioned it to them, they were excited and said they would definitely visit.

The Hello Kitty Cafe prioritizes guests with reservations, so if you have a tight schedule, make sure to reserve a table in advance. This is especially important if you’re traveling and need to save time. When we booked, we had to pay for the reservation, which acts as a food and beverage credit. For instance, if you pay $25 per person for the reservation, you will have $25 worth of credit to use for dining or shopping at their store!

What’s the Risk of Reservation?
Rescheduling Issues: We feel it’s important to mention a frustrating experience we had. We needed to reschedule our reservation, but the Hello Kitty Cafe’s phone number listed on Google wasn’t working. Despite multiple attempts, no one picked up the phone, leaving us unable to reschedule and forcing us to stick to our original plans. Please keep this in mind, as you may encounter difficulties if you need to change your reservation.
How was the food?
We were skeptical at first, thinking the food might prioritize presentation over taste. However, we were pleasantly surprised! The food was not only adorable but also incredibly delicious. We ordered several items, and our favorite was the Baja Shrimp Taco, which came in a generous portion! Also, the Hello Kitty Slider was amazing! We thought it is an ordinary slider but patties were very good and offered unique flavor. 🤤
What’s Hello Kitty Cafe Cenote?
The Hello Kitty Cafe website mentions a ‘Magical Cenote photo opportunity’. Curious and intrigued, we decided to check it out, not knowing exactly what to expect.
First off, leave your swimsuit at home! This isn’t an actual cenote for swimming. Instead, it’s a delightful Hello Kitty Projection Room themed around a cenote, perfect for taking charming photos like the one below. It’s an adorable spot, and anyone who spends over 300 MXN can access it. So, there’s no need for a reservation—just a bit of spending 💰 will grant you entry.

You should definitely visit here! I loved their food so much I wish I could try more! I am definitely going back to other Hello Kitty Cafe locations!
